Nigeria army rescues nearly 300 females from Boko Haram

Nigerian troops rescued nearly 300 girls and women during an offensive against Boko Haram fighters in the northeastern Sambisa Forest, the military said.Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade told Al Jazeera on Wednesday that it was too early to tell whether they included any of the schoolgirls kidnapped in Chibok a year ago.
